Knocknagoshel National School is a three classroom school situated off the main Castleisland to Abbeyfeale road.
Our school is a friendly and welcoming place, children of all ages work and play together and look out for each other.....it’s like one big family here! We believe that students should have a say in their education. At Knocknagoshel N.S. students often make choices about what and how they learn, making learning more active, fun and meaningful.
At present, our school operates within one of the oldest functioning school buildings in the country. However, we are thrilled to announce that plans are currently underway to construct a brand new, state-of-the-art school on a recently acquired site within the village. Over the next few years, our entire community can look forward to an exciting transformation as we witness the dream of a modern school building becoming a reality. This development not only represents a significant upgrade for our school but also promises to bring positive change and opportunities for our entire village.
Knocknagoshel Village has strong cultural and sporting traditions and this is reflected in everyday life at school. We cherish our strong connection to other community groups and feel that these connections enrich the educational experience, fostering a sense of unity and shared values within our close-knit community.
